Liddes Bagnes Dairy 4
The Liddes Bagnes 4 dairy is an agricultural jewel of the Grand-Saint-Bernard region, located at an altitude of 1,300 m and built in 1969 to bring together the nine village dairies that have existed in the commune since the beginning of the century.
Modernized several times, it now relies on professional production and impeccable hygiene, welcoming 9 producers and around 250 cows fed on rich mountain pastures.

A cheese with character: Bagnes 4
The flagship product of the Liddes dairy is Bagnes 4 raclette cheese , recognized as AOP Valais (Protected Designation of Origin). Annually, approximately 1,400,000 kg of milk are transformed into 28,000 wheels , matured for at least three months to guarantee a full-bodied taste and freshness.
The cheese dairy also produces tommes and sérac , in addition to fondue mix and artisanal butter, which offers a range of products that are both traditional and appreciated by demanding raclette lovers.

Know-how, tradition and rewards
The cheese-making tradition of Liddes dates back to the beginning of the century , maintaining a regular focus on the quality of the milk and the final quality of the product. Controls by a commission of experts assess the appearance, taste, and melting capacity, essential for obtaining AOP raclette. Several cheese medals testify to the unique know-how of local producers.

The terroir and the unique taste of the mountains
The success of Bagnes 4 lies in the authentic taste of the products and the unique taste of the mountains that are found in each wheel thanks to the variety of grasses in the region and the mastery of the milk transformation process. This quality attracts tourists and enthusiasts, who come to discover the agricultural wealth of the valley and its centuries-old history.
The dairy today: open according to schedule
Recently modernized, the dairy now offers milk delivery even in summer, allowing continuous production all year round. Sales are made directly at the store, open every day according to schedule, or via the cheese vending machine allowing you to buy raclette cheese at any time. Bagnes 4 is also available under the Valdor name in some shops in the region.
