Savolaire Raclette du Valais PDO from mountain pastures: a family treasure from the Dents du Midi

In the heights of Morgins, facing the panorama of the Dents du Midi, the Savolaire alpine pasture is a small family-run farm where the Granger family has been making cheese since 2002. With a herd of barely twenty-five cows, production is necessarily limited—and that's precisely what makes it so valuable. Every summer, the alpine milk is processed on-site to produce a rare, authentic, and fully traceable Raclette du Valais AOP, impossible to find during the rest of the year.

A small family mountain pasture with raw milk, facing the Dents du Midi

Savolaire's Raclette du Valais AOP is a semi-hard full-fat cheese, made from raw whole cow's milk using the traditional Valais method. The Alpine flora of the Dents du Midi is directly reflected in the cheese: creamy on the palate, almost velvety, with a beautiful aroma of mountain herbs. The longer the aging, the stronger its character. The Granger family's expertise has also been recognized with the silver star by the Interprofession Raclette du Valais AOP — the mark of an exceptional cheese.

Why pre-order your Savolaire cheese

The production of this small family mountain pasture is limited by nature, and these cheeses are quickly snapped up. That's why we're opening a pre-sale: you can reserve your half-wheel of Savolaire now, made during the 2026 summer pasture season. By ordering today, you're not just reserving a cheese—you'll follow the entire season's story, from the ascent to the alpine pastures to the descent. The cheeses are collected at the end of summer, once their ripening is complete, then shipped to your home.
